ANJA TONČIĆ (1996, Belgrade, Serbia) completed her undergraduate studies in 2018, and her master’s studies in 2019 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, at the department of painting. Since 2013, she has participated in over 85 group and 13 solo exhibition projects in Serbia and abroad. Since 2019, she has been a representative of the Rector’s Council of the University of Arts in Belgrade. Since 2018, she has been actively collaborating with the X VITAMIN gallery in Belgrade, as well as with the ITP in Vienna (Institute for Theoretical Physics – Technische Universität Wien) as an analytical consultant for visual experiments. As of 2020, she is a registered independent artist of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS). She works at the intersections of visual arts, statistical physics and acoustics. Her work is focused on the processes of cybernetics, oscillation, refraction, and the concept of (cyclic) generativity, using media such as drawing, installations, painting, sound, graphic techniques, objects, photography, spatial dynamics, as well as applied science in artistic relations. She currently lives and works in Belgrade and Vienna.
