Edita Kadirić

Edita Kadirić (1976, Banja Luka) is a visual artist whose work centers on exploring human recognition and discomfort through visual storytelling. She holds a higher education degree in visual arts, having studied at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, and completed postgraduate studies in new media and artistic production at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona.

She was a grantee of the Fabra i Coats Contemporary Art Center in Barcelona. Her work has received multiple awards and has been continuously supported for years by the Carmen Würth Collection. It is also part of numerous significant private collections and institutions across Europe and the United States.

Throughout her professional career, she has realized numerous solo exhibitions (Würth Museum – Germany, Promgalerie – Germany, La Trastera – Spain, Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina – Serbia, Contemporary Gallery Subotica – Serbia, Salon Otto Bihalji Merin – Serbia, among others), as well as group exhibitions and multimedia projects.

Drawing serves as both a point of departure and her most intimate medium, from which she expands her research into animation, painting, objects, theatre, video art, and performance.

She lives and works between France, Serbia, and Spain.
