Nikola Dimitrović (Belgrade, 1990) completed his undergraduate and master’s studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2019. He is the recipient of the Best Film Award in the Experimental Film selection at the Martovski Festival in Belgrade in 2024 and a participant in the 60th October Salon as part of the concept Aesthetic(s) of Encounters in 2024. His work focuses on issues of identity, sexuality, and the play with social stereotypes through self-transformation and self-reflection. His short films have been presented in the program Is Queer Political?, Queer Museum, Vienna (2024), and Podium, Cinema Zvezda, U10, Belgrade (2023). Among his realized solo and group exhibitions in the country and abroad are: Voix Unique, Paris (2024); The favored, Subotica (2023); (NE)Sporazum, Sarajevo (2021); First Drawing Biennale, Pula (2021); Triennial of Drawing and Small Sculpture, Belgrade (2021); Summer Vibrations: In Corpore Sano, November Gallery, Belgrade (2021); Stone in Art and Architecture, RTS Gallery, Belgrade (2019); Masterpieces, U10, Belgrade (2019); InterAKCIJA, Youth Center, Belgrade (2018); Kunst im Dialog, Landshut, Germany (2018). He curated the group exhibition Trilogy: Time; Space; Identity (October, November, December), Cultural Center Magacin, Belgrade (2019). His works are included in museum collections and archives (Museum of Srem; Belgrade City Library). He is active in the local and regional art scene.
