Nikola Marković

Nikola Marković

Born in 1979 in Koper, Slovenia, Nikola Marković lives and works in Belgrade. He had received his B.F.A. from the Faculty of Fine Art, Belgrade in 2003 and his M.F.A. in 2008.

In 2017, the artist joined X Vitamin Gallery, where he has had three solo exhibitions (2018, 2020 and 2022) and participated with the gallery at several art fairs (Positions Munich Art Fair 2019, Positions Berlin Art Fair 2021, Art Market Budapest 2022).

Since 2004 he has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions throughout Serbia, Hungary, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain…

He received Dimitreije Basicevic Mangelos Award for production in 2008.

His works are part of the several public collections such as the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, Telenor Collection of Contemporary Serbian Art and Belgrade City Library collection, as well as many private collections worldwide.

A group of Marković’s paintings was included in several feature films such as 2014 Everly (starring Selma Hayek), 2019 Intrigo: Dear Agnes, 2022 Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton) and many other films, series and comercials.
