The exhibition showcases a series of sculptures called “” which highlights the importance of daily hygiene rituals for maintaining a healthy and long life. The sculptures are made of terracotta and unrefined raw material of clay, depicting self-portraits of physical cleansing from both the inside and outside. The installation includes a portrait with a laundry basket, representing the constant cleaning and washing of wardrobe, while another figure with cotton wool represents cleaning makeup worn during the day. A sculpture with tea represents cleaning from the inside, implementing a method of detoxifying the body. The exhibition space is filled with the sound of daily cleaning activities, such as vacuuming, blow-drying, washing clothes and dishes. Opposite the figurative installation of cleansing is a mass of uncleaned earth/clay, representing the opposite of the figures of the Cleansing. The installation also features the figure of the goddess Hygia as the conceptual motif of the exhibition.
The exhibition explores gender roles, where women are often assigned the role of maintaining the household and expected to fulfill various treatments to maintain their appearance. Through this series of works, the exhibition aims to depict the everyday life of women and raise questions about their inner world. The ultimate goal is to inspire personal fulfillment and improve the quality of everyday life, where every moment presents a new choice that can bring endless possibilities.
