Four Play are four exhibitions by Vuk Vidor which will take place in Belgrade and are all beginning on the 20th of May 2023.
They are composed of four different projects or series of paintings and drawings, each with its own theme.
Four Play 2 / Cul-de Sac at X Vitamin gallery is a multi media installation where the gallery space becomes a setting for how feelings of alientation, rejection or being outcast can be presented in a material way using sculpture, words and sound. On view untill 31.05.
How do you represent the feeling of rejection, breakdown and alienation?
Of both interior and exterior worlds falling apart and breaking into pieces inside and around you?
Everything crushes you down, melts and crumbles, all lights fade out.
Like blocked arteries slowly choking you until everything bursts.
All beliefs and certanties breaking loose.
Styck in a void, as if confronted with a mid air colliding self, punished by Gods and Men alike you are strupped of pride, ego, of purpose and direction.
And then, all of a sudden you are faced with a distorted image of yourself in that collapsing world.
Outside of everything. Outcast. Broken. Shattered.
Dead End.
